About US

Who we are, where we come from,

and where we're headed as a church family

Who we are

Christ came for all. We get the honor of being His hands and feet to show that love to everyone. Our desire is to link arms with you and walk through this life together. To fill the halls of heaven. There is a home waiting for us all, our hope is to walk with you to your new home.

What We Value

The Bible - We believe the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives.

Encountering His Presence – “Everything we need is found where He is”

Fulfilling Potential – “God created you with unlimited potential”

Prayer – “The nerve that moves the muscle of God’s hand”

Unity – “We are all different, but are in agreement”

Reaching the Lost – “We exist for those who are not here yet”

Where We Come From

New Journey Church is a church plant from Indianola First Assembly of God church in Indianola, Iowa.  Indianola First was established in 1947 and has experienced several expansions in their current location.  When Knoxville’s Assembly of God church closed in 2015, Pastor Barry Hill from Indianola First had a vision to open a new church in place of the closed church in Knoxville.

Pastor Barry talked with Pastor Dave and Sara Woodcock, who were with Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas at the time, to come back to Iowa and pastor this new church plant.

The Woodcock’s felt the Lord calling them to Knoxville, they moved back to Iowa in July 2016 and New Journey had it’s first service on September 25, 2016.
