WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO SERVICE?
You will find people dressed in a wide variety of styles. Come dressed the way you feel comfortable. At New Journey, our focus is a person’s heart, not their outward appearance.
WHAT ARE THE MUSIC AND WORSHIP LIKE?
Our music is a blend of contemporary worship choruses with traditional. We encourage everyone to participate in worship to God. This can include clapping and raising hands, or quietly reflecting on the lyrics. We pray that you will encounter Jesus in a personal way.
WHAT IS THE TYPICAL ORDER OF SERVICE?
Though it can change, a typical Sunday service opens with a few corporate songs of worship and praise followed by a short greeting time, announcements, and the receiving of tithes and offerings. Then, Pastor Steve shares from God’s word, concluding with a time of response. It is our desire to allow the Spirit of God to mold us and shape us
HOW DO YOU WELCOME VISTORS?
Everyone is warmly greeted when you walk in the door! We encourage all guests to let us know it is your first time visiting us; we have a gift for you. We’d also love to connect with you. Fill out a Connect card before you leave, our pastor would love to get to know you!
DO I HAVE TO SHARE IN COMMUNION OR OFFERING HERE?
Visitors are not expected to give in the offering. The offering is for those who call New Journey their church home. When we receive communion, it is an open communion, meaning anyone who has accepted Christ as their Lord may join us. You do not have to be a member of the church to take communion, and taking communion does not make you a member of the church.
WHAT IS THE SERMON ABOUT?
Every Sunday, you can expect to hear a Bible-based message with practical application for everyday living. God’s word is living and active. We submit our lives to Him.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
At New Journey, we love kids and have a place for all ages. The first place you'll want to bring your children is our Kids Check-In / Information Center. You'll be greeted by friendly volunteers who will walk you through our Check-in Process to make sure your kids are safe and secure while you enjoy the Worship Service. From there one of our Check-In staff will escort your family to either our Launch Pad Nursery (6 weeks-2 years), Take Off Preschool (3 years- Preschool), or Kids Church (Kindergarten - 5th grade). Your girls and boys will experience church like never before. These gathering times are created to present God's truth in fun and innovative ways. They won't want to miss a single service.
