Steve Witcher
Pastor Steve and his wife Debra both grew up in rural North Dakota. They have three children. Their heart is to see the mercy, healing and life changing presence of God rest in all those they meet.
“Thank you for taking the time to read a bit about my wife Debra and myself. In answering the calling to Knoxville, I desire to see God’s plan unfold through the people of New Journey to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We are meant to live in community and walk through this life together. We rejoice together, we mourn together, and we sharpen one another.
God has taught me time and time again He is ALWAYS faithful. Our prayer is for you to truly experience in your own life just how good He is!

Breanna Sampson
Breanna Sampson grew up in Indianola, Iowa. While attending church camp in the 5th grade she felt the call for the first time to be a missionary. Throughout high school God continued to strengthen this call into ministry. Breanna graduated high school in 2015 and shortly after began an internship with “Engage My Life.” She lived in the D.R. Congo in Africa for nearly a year working under missionaries who were opening up a Bible College. During this time, she felt lead to children’s ministry and began working alongside a local church doing outreaches to children. After moving back to Iowa in September 2016 the next day Breanna heard about New Journey Church that was soon to be opening. Right away she felt that God was calling her to help with the children’s ministry at New Journey. Two weeks later, New Journey Church held their first Sunday morning service. Breanna has enjoyed working with the kids at New Journey ever since. Her dedication, creativity, cheerful and loving spirit, and passion for sharing God’s love to the children at New Journey has helped build a positive, exciting, safe atmosphere where kids have fun learning about God.
